My Poetry ~  The Treasure The Narrow Road to the Deep North

"Go to the object. Leave your subjective preoccupation with yourself. Do not impose yourself on the object. Become one with the object. Plunge deep enough into the object to see something like a hidden glimmering there. Your feeling is not natural when the object and yourself are separate. You must become one with the object in order for your poetry to be true." ~ Matsuo Basho

Finding Your Way in Asheville

The Treasure

God, my guide, my spiritual source
spoke to me this morning
As I watched the day open
With light and magic

I found a rock in a tide pool
to fit between my palms
As I pray, meditate
And celebrate life.
In a flash, I understand:

LOOK TO NATURE FOR CLARITY.

That is the answer I've asked for.
