June 28 ~ The Source of All Actions (Kokoro)
“The heart is the source of all actions.”
— Japanese Proverb

Kokoro sunrise artworkKokoro (心) is the Japanese word for heart, but it means more than just the physical organ or fleeting emotion. Kokoro holds heart, spirit, and mind all at once—the quiet place where intention lives. It is the essence of sincerity. The soul behind action. The feeling beneath the thought.

To live with kokoro is to do everything with presence. Whether listening, creating, helping, or simply being, kokoro reminds us to stay true and wholehearted. Not perfection, just authentic feelings.

This site was created with kokoro. Every celebration is a reflection of something that moved me deeply: a quote, a moment, a sunrise, a person whose light touched the world. Kokoro reminds me that even small offerings have meaning when they come from the heart. Grace and goodness. Peace. Joy.

Kokoro isn’t something to define. It’s something to experience deeply. To live. It lives in the way light spills through trees, in the hush before a brushstroke, in the care behind a quiet act of kindness. That’s what I hope this site holds, a little piece of that breath. A little piece of kokoro.

Shine your lightI trust my heart’s sunrise. 🫶
