June 15 ~ Words Like Angels Are Powers
“Words, like angels, are
powers,
which have invisible power
over us.
They are personal
presencs,
which have whole mythologies... and their own guarding, blaspheming,
creating, and annihilating effects.”
— James Hillman

Words are powerful. They leave marks deeper than we can see. As Robert Burton said, “A blow with a word strikes deeper than a blow with a sword.”
Whether written, whispered, or shouted—words are living things. They hold heat. They ripple. They heal. “By words the mind is excited and the spirit elated,” said Aristophanes.
Writing is a soulful act. To put ink on a page is to bless the page with your energy. Whether messy or refined, the words we choose shape the world we walk through. They lift. They call others into action. They make others think.
Use them well. Shape them like feathers, or fire. Beauty or truth—your choice. And that choice is power.
