Poetry ~  Everything Precious in Life Loving What Is

"Whenever you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth." ~ Arthur Conan Doyle

Everything Precious in Life
That Sunday morning,
His wife, Annette, explained our trip
to three-year-old Kahiwamano:

"We are going to visit Papa Bolohead
who is fishing with Jesus."

The sun celebrated the day's vibrant colors
and kissed the clean water of Kaneohe Bay

A mist of feelings
too sacred for words
Ripple and rise.

Boats roar as the ocean dances
A rainbow, heaven's smile, glides across the sky
A promise, reminder, beacon of hope, need, goodness

STRENGTH

The waves, the clouds, the salt air
heal and honor
Everything precious in life.
Embraced by the arms of the Koolaus,
with the tradewinds, the sandbar,
the fish, tako, and honu.

Alive--
to feel
the mana, the spirit, the love
which is ours, his, God's
forever
flowing from heart to ocean to heaven.

For Ronald, we remember, together.
