“Welcome
every problem
as an opportunity. Each moment is the great challenge,
the best thing that ever happened to you. The more
difficult the problem, the greater the challenge
in working it out.” ~
Grace Speare
Life
certainly has been challenging lately. Amid the chaos, uncertainty, and
need for positive change
comes the insight, the salve really, that EVERY
problem has a solution and every problem creates an opportunity for greatness.

FORCE US
TO THINK
“Crises
and deadlocks, when they occur, have at least this advantage: they force
us to think.” ~
Jawaharlal Nehru
|
|
The
first leader of post-Colonial
India,
Jawaharlal Nehru
(1889-1964) urged
others to face problems with unflinching optimism. “Every little thing
counts in a crisis,” he said.
Look for
the advantage in every problem. Proactively study a crisis to come up
with innovative strategies to fix the problem and prevent it from
happening again. When asked what single event was most helpful in
developing the Theory of Relativity,
Albert Einstein
replied, "Figuring out how to think about the problem."
Use your head. Be
creative
. “If knowledge can create problems,”
observed prolific writer
Isaac Asimov, “it is not through ignorance
that we can solve them.”

SOMETHING
TO DO
“Success
is relevant to coping with obstacles... But no problem is ever
solved by those, who, when they fail, look for someone to blame
instead of something to do.” ~ Fred Waggoner
|
|
Don’t
let a problem stop you from reaching your goals. Two key skills
to overcome obstacles are attitude
and
focus.
Once
you’ve identified a problem and figured out what needs to be
done, take action. Sidestep anyone who tries to shoot down your
plans. Transform a skeptic into a source of inspiration
to
reach your goal that much faster. Stay positive. Stay focused on
the goal.

THE
SOLUTION OCCURRED TO ME
“I
can remember the very spot in the road, whilst in my carriage,
when to my joy
the solution occurred to me.” ~
Charles Darwin

What
joy
it is to solve a problem!
I’ve
been struggling with finding the best method to streamline
delivery of this newsletter. What a problem it’s been! Lots of
technical trial and error. I think I’ve got it solved, but in
this business, you never know.
I investigated www.topica.com and will probably add my
archive to the account there as well as maintaining the
newsletter archives on my Daily Celebrations site.
Yes,
this is a work-in-progress. Thank you for your patience.
Here’s
a
good
one to leave you with:
“Each
problem has hidden in it an opportunity so powerful that it
literally dwarfs the problem. The greatest success stories were
created by people who recognized a problem and turned it into an
opportunity.” ~
Joseph Sugarman
Have
a great weekend!
