“A
true champion
is someone who wants to make a difference,
who never gives up, and who gives everything
she has no matter
what the circumstances are. A true champion works hard and never loses
sight of her dreams.”
~
Dot Richardson
Every
single person CAN make a difference. Here’s a story told by
writer Marianne Larned: |
Once
there was a terrible storm that washed thousands of starfish
ashore. A young girl, walking along the beach, picked up each
starfish she came to and threw it back into the ocean.
After
some time, a woman approached her and said, “Little girl,
what are you doing? There are too many of these things to
save. You can’t make a difference.”
The
little girl was momentarily disappointed, then reached down
and tossed another starfish to the ocean and said, “Well, I
made a difference to that one.”
