Creating Daily Celebrations has always been a road of discovery. There have been challenges, but much satisfactionâwhether the solution came after hard work or through a sudden flash of intuition.
So I embraced HTML. I became an advocate, coding in Notepad and loving the power of cascading stylesheets and javascripting. As I ALT-TAB between Notepad and my browser, I now "<html></html>" with the best of them. I've come a long wayâbut there's always further to go!
In July 2000, the web was already evolving quickly. Everyone wanted a site that was fast, accessible, beautifulâand to hit 20,000 visitors a day. But thereâs so much information out there. Everyone is learning. No one is an expert. I love that. It keeps us all creative.
Where are we headed? Somewhere wonderful. And Iâm grateful to share this journey with you.
Pablo Picasso put it best: âMy object is to show what I have found, not what I am looking for.â
From Notepad coding and FrontPage quirks to watercolor dreams and sunrise reflections, this site has always been an act of loveâof building, learning, and sharing. A quiet dare to grow. A daily leap of faith.
Today, the road of discovery continuesârooted in purpose, blooming in color. Still hand-coded. Still personal. Still a celebration.
Like the rising sun, we begin againâeach day an invitation to create, connect, and shine.
Celebrate the journey. Begin again with light in your heart.
